Question

Why does colour look different in RAW-editor and when opened in regular photoshop?

Hi! I need some help, with settings for colour (I assume) when editing RAW-images in Photoshop Camera Raw, version 17.0.0.2043.

Editing colours in (right now) impossible, since the colouring looks one way in Camera Raw-mode (see image "photoshop raw-sRGB"), and another way when opened in regular photoshop, and then saved in jpeg-format (see the other two images).

How can I make the colours look the same when editing in Raw and opening in photoshop? 🙂

Big thanks in advance!

/Lisa

As Per says. What's technically happening here, is that you have a wide gamut monitor, and ACR isn't using your monitor profile. The color management chain has broken. Then sRGB displays oversaturated.

That's the what. As for why, then yes, either a bad monitor profile or a GPU bug. It can sometimes be tricky to pinpoint which one, since the actual conversion into the monitor profile is executed in the GPU.

System Info should probably provide a clue.

This is either caused by a defective monitor profile or a buggy GPU driver.
