Workflow Camera Raw sliders reset

I'm sure this has been adressed elsewhere already but I could not find any working solution on appropraite discussions so please bear with me.

When I open ACR from within PS on a particular layer, do my edits, close ACR and reopen the very same layer in ACR (still from within PS, of course), the edits are still intact but all the sliders have been reset to default (i.e. now way for me to readjust previous settings).

Any idea how to fix thius or is this supposed to be standard?
