What you might have read about is a new minor feature where clicking "Set Rest Pose" will gracefully slide your puppet into the new rest pose, as opposed to before when it would "jump" into position (didn't look as good).

For setting up an arms rest pose, I suggest making a swap set filled with replays like I show here: https://youtu.be/aZadeOEFumY?t=1079

thanks, i see that's an improvement for live which i use.  thanks for the video, i'll get into more training as i'm not experienced at all with the rig page aside from assigning some replays and trigger stuff.  need more experience with it.

cheers!

You can draw the puppet in any resting position you want — though some will animate better than others. It depends on how you plan to move the puppet. You can also duplicate a puppet in Ch’s Project panel and in the Puppet panel rearrange the layers (position/rotation/scale) to your liking, or add/remove Draggable handles etc. You can then use either puppet (or both!) depending on your animation plans.
