Rotating Text for a UI - UXP Plugin Help!

I am currently making a Plugin for Indesign and it is crucial that part of the User Interface has text that rotates. Is there a way to make this work? I know UXP has a known issue with rotating text but I was wondering if anyone has found a way around it? I have tried using SVG’s instead but rotations on them don’t work either. 

Please help.
