Visual Studio Editor not working

Can anyone explain why I have to revert to a November 2022 Adobe version to be able to use Visual Studio as my editor for javascript?

    I assume you're asking about the Extend Script extension for VS Code. Do you have the latest extension?  Version 1.3.0 was last updated a year ago.

    and what stops you from opening visual studio independent from anything adobe?
