ACME install on local machine
Hi,
I've been using developer edition of CF MX7 with the built in server on my local win xp machine for a while, but I'd like to use virtual hosts, so I installed apache + CF MX7 on my laptop following the ACME guide.
It works well, but it feels quite complex, different directory structure, all that JRun stuff etc.
It left me wondering if I really need the multiserver configuration recommended in the ACME guide - couldn't it be simplified by installing apache and single server version of CFMX 7?
All my sites are hosted with the same hosting company running CFMX7 on IIS 6, so I don't need to test locally on multiple versions or configurations of CF and I also do some Flex and Flash Remoting work and I'm wondering if the multiserver setup doesn't need some extra configuration for remoting.
Thanks for any tips on this!
