Application server account settings

Hello,

I'm trying to upload files onto the network and through some research have discovered that I need to alter the application server account settings. So I've changed from the local system account to an account that has permissions for the network drive and restarted the service but now none of my websites work at all.

Is there anything else I need to do? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

    Does the new system account have access to the IIS / coldfusion and DB server?

    It's an existing system account that is used for our .net stuff so it would have access to IIS and SQL servers but probably not coldfusion. How would I add coldfusion to that user account?
