Application Slowness with Coldfusion 7

We have been having a problem where the server occasionally running very slow or simply hanging. Performance is uneven sometimes it works fast, sometimes very slow.

Environment:
------------
Windows server 2003 STD SP2 (X86)
IIS 6

Any pointers/help are greatly appreciated!

Your description is quite general. So it can be anything, from an infinite loop generated in Application.cfc to a database connection that hangs. You might wish to invest in the specialist application, Fusion Reactor (version 4.5).
