Back up and restore settings

I'm not entirely sure I'm using the appropriate terminology.

We have ColdFusion MX 7 setup in Standalone configuration.  If I back up the settings the way it is installed, remove and reinstall in a MultiServer configuration, can the backup be applied.  I'm talking about the settings I backup through the Administrator website.

    If you're creating a CAR file to back up settings from a standalone Enterprise install, most of those settings can be applied to a multiserver install, with the exception of Java configuration options.

    If you don't have Enterprise, you won't have the ability to use CAR files. You can fix this by temporarily downgrading your CF install to Developer by removing the serial number.
