Best Way to Upgrade to CF 7 From 5

We just got our CD to upgrade from CF5 Enterprise to CF 7 Enterprise. We will be upgrading a single-CPU server, one box only. I know how to do the upgrade, but my question is related to upgrading the Development PCs. Currently have 3 development PCs used by a single programmer (me) for developing apps. One at the office, one at home for tele-working, and one on a laptop for Remote development.

I'd like to use the CD version for all 3 DEV PCs, vs. using the downloadable trial version. For CF5, I'm using the downloadable trial version, which converts to a DEV version after 30 days. This is fine for CF5. But for CF7, if you use the downloadable trial version, after 30 days, everything works OK, except it puts watermarks on your charts, and reports developed with the Report Manager add-in.

I'd like to avoid this, as I often have to send (email) examples of my new apps to my managers, users, etc., to get their approval before going to production. SO THE QUESTION IS: Will Adobe allow you to use the CD-version on DEV PCs (as many as 3 in my case), configuring them as DEV PCs, but avoiding the watermarks?

Or does CF7 developer HAVE TO USE THE DOWNLOADABLE TRIAL VERSION for all Dev PCs? Thanks for any advice/help.

Gary

Gary1, unless you enter a valid license number for each of your servers, you won't be able to get rid of those watermarks. So the answer to your question is no, if you do not have license entered into the ColdFusion, then you won't be able to remove those watermarks. I guess the work around for you (if you do not want to buy an additional license for development box) is to load your stuff onto the production machine and have it generate your charts, PDF and other stuff.
