Beta CF 9 and Builder

I just got an email with links to DOWNLOAD THE BETAS TODAY. But do I need the J2EE install configuration in order to use Builder or Report Builder or any other development tools for CF? Or can I simply install the Server configuration?

No the Java used for the server and the Java used for the client tools (IDE and Reports) are independant. In many situtations they will not even be on the same computers.
