Books or resources to read

There is  very little difference between 6 & 7.  7 was like the bugfix version for 6 (which was an abomination until 6.1, which lead quickly to 7.0).

CFM7 is dead technology though, you should be aiming for CF9.

The same resources that you would have used before are still the most appropriate ones:

* the online docs;

* CFWACK;

* these forums.
