Can I Upgrade from MX7 to CF 9 On New Hard Disk Using MX7 Serial Numbers

Hi All,

I want to install the upgrade version of coldfusion 9 on a new server / hard disk, by  using the serial number from MX7, which has been uninstalled.

Can this be done?  Any potential complications?

I can't deactivate MX7 because that installation no longer exists.

    Yes, when you enter the CF9 license, the installer is going to say "This is an upgrade license, please provide the original license" and give you another form to put in your CF7 license.  If it likes both licenses you are good to go.
