can't choose cf server configuration on vista

Hi everyone,

I am a starter in using CF and I am trying to install it on vista, home edition. All works fine until I have to choose the configurarion. My desired configuration is server, but that option is disabled and I get the message that it has been detected on my system. But I have never installed it, so I am really puzzled here, what might be the cause of this? How can I get rid of this and be able to choose and install the server configuration?

Many thanks

Sounds like IIS is not installed.

Look here to see if you can install it on your version of Vista Home:

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc753473(WS.10).aspx

Then, if you can install it, follow the instructions here:

It maybe detecting a failed, or incomplete copy if you have tried to do this more then once.

Just completely uninstall any vestiges of ColdFusion that might be left over.

If you can't run a Windows Uninstall routine there used to be instructions to manually uninstall ColdFusion.  Tech Note 19187.  But every link I've tried to it on the Adobe site are broken!
