Cannot call any stored procedures

Hello
I've been trying to call a stored proceedure from coldfusion, but EVERY time, there has been an error:

"The system has attempted to use an undefined value, which usually indicates a programming error, either in your code or some system code.
Null Pointers are another name for undefined values.

Here is my code for the stored proc:

OK, first I'll say I haven't returned a record set with MySQL stored
procedures...I read a PDF doc at the MySQL site covering the stored
procedures/functions, and they say in there that is is "not normal" to
use SELECT in a stored procedure...i.e. returning a record set. (Seems
like something fit for cfquery rather than cfstoredproc.)

    http://dev.mysql.com/tech-resources/articles/mysql-storedprocedures.pdf
    from page 8:
Ordinarily, it's not normal to put SELECT statements in stored
    procedures, this is for
illustration. I decided that some procedure should simply select from
our table, so that when you call the procedure it will be obvious that
    it's working.

So having said that...here's a basic SP for MySQL.

    Hi Tim,
I've just tried your example from the link below (going to your website) and guess what... I DIDN'T work at all, still having the same error, even with this simple example.

I also tried it by using the cfquery-way, and this time, the error has turned something werid:
"Error Executing Database Query. Stored procedures not supported: {call proc(@thnum)}"

I am absolutely lost. Is it because of a CF version that cannot support any stored procedrues??
