Local windows computers cannot start the ColdFusion 8 Application Server.

Two local workstation computers at our client’s office have crashed due to a power problem and we have delivered two new machines. Their programmer is out of the country for the holidays and these two workstations cannot communicate with their Server.

The ColdFusion 8 server is safe as it was hooked up to a UPS batery backup.

Please advise how to connect the workstations to the server.

Nicole

I am not sure how their staff setup the two local machines to their ColdFusion server, but I think this was the way used for their link to the server, as they could view all of their web pages on their two machines.

I:\ColdFusion\wwwroot\WebSite\Index.cfm

I = the ColdFusion drive
WebSite = the folders that replicated their web site

Have a nice holiday

It sounds like you are trying to connect using RDS.
