Cannot edit Solr collections

I filed a bug report on the fact that in CF9 and CF10 one cannot truly "edit" a Solr collection.  (If you click on a collection to edit it, you are not presented with what is currently being indexed in said collection - you the the default file extensions .htm, .html, .cfm, .cfml)

Adobe responded by saying "It's not a bug, it's a feature."

As a result, here is my view of Adobe products.
