Cannot set up certs for trusted CAs

We're using Windows 2003 Enterprise Server SP1 R2 on a production server. We also have a development server with the same operating system though it is not release R2 as it is in production. Norton Antivirus 9 is installed on the development box. The produciton server has ColdFusion MX 6.1 installed and working fine.

On the development box, I installed ColdFusion MX 6.0 with great difficulty -- the trick was I had to use the standalone server option rather than IIS6. Fine. On completetion of the install the IE browser window pops up attempting to connect to localhost:8500 but fails:

Error Occurred While Processing Request

Thinking the problem had something to do with an Upgrade I downloaded:
ColdFusion MX 6.1 Upgrade (coldfusion-macr-win.exe)

From: http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/resourcecenter/resourcecenter.cfm?pagename=cfmx%20updater&loc=en%5Fus&

I doubleclicked the file and eventually received the error window:

InstallAnywhere coldfusion-macr-win.exe - Applciation Error
The instruction at "0x00421cb0" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "written"

Can someone help me resolve these issues. And to Macromedia, a retro-suggestion, perhaps test install your products. These issues seem unnecessary.

You have to install the Coldfusion fix for the Java Cryptographic Extension problem. It's a good idea to upgrade to CF6.1. That and more in these two previous threads on the subject:
