trying to install CF8 standard 64bit and when i enter the license key it authenticates but automatically goes to a developer only addition. I wasn't aware that you could specifiy which version (64bit or 32bit) you bought - just standard or enterprise.....

Any ideas?

ColdFusion 8 Standard is not available in 64-bit, only the Enterprise version is available in 64-bit.

That something quite weird is happening on your system.

You don't buy a developer edition, and one does not enter a license key for developer edition.

You have to specify which system you get when you download them, 64bit or 32bit, so I have no clue how one could switch to the other.

Are you doing a clean install or are you trying to install on a system that may have had an earlier version of ColdFusion on it?

    What flavor; Unix or Windows?
