CF 8 / Vista 64-bit / MSSQL 2005 - JRun Crashes

I have a system running 64-bit Windows Vista. I also have the 64-bit version of MSSQL 2005 installed which appears to be working correctly. I installed the 64-bit version of CF8.01, but when I try to create a new datasource to point to the MSSQL server, the CFAdmin page always hangs and then I get a Windows pop-up saying that JRun failed and is restarting. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling CF, but I have not had any luck thus far. Any ideas?

The work around solution I have found at this point is to use the latest JDBC drivers from Microsoft which allowed me to create MSSQL data sources, so it appears there is some issue related to the driver itself. See this blog posting for the details ... http://www.alagad.com/go/blog-entry/mssql-driver-issue-with-cf-8-0-1.

As an update, this issue appears to be related soley to CF / JRun and MSSQL. I am able to create a new derby database and datasource without issue. However, when trying to connect CF to a local MSSQL 2005 or 2008 database, as well as to a remote MSSQL 2005 database, JRun always crashes. I have uninstalled and reinstalled CF in both standalone and multi-server configurations using the Windows 64-bit installer and the result is the same.

    Any ideas here?
