CF 9 /IIS 7 installation problem

Installing CF9 on Win 2008 R2.  After install, I got the HTTP 403.3 error when attempting to get into CF admin.  Investigation revealed that IIS did not have the CF file extensions mapped.  Research on the web revealed that this is a fairly common problem and that manual mapping of handlers would work.  However, my installation did not result in the file C:\ColdFusion9\runtime\lib\wsconfig\1\jrun_iis6_wildcard.dll being placed in that directory, although the jrun_iis6.dll is there.  Is there a remedy for this problem and/or where can I get the jrun_iis6_wildcard.dll file.  I looked on my other CF9 installations but they are not using Win 2008 R2 and IIS7 and for whatever reason do not have anything resembling these file names in that directory.

    Hello,

    Suggest install CF9 updater1 then run C:\ColdFusion9\runtime\bin\wsconfig.exe and select "configure webserver for CF9 applications". IIS and CF may require a restart to apply changes.

    Carl,

    I installed the 9.01 updater, then ran the wsconfig.exe again.  This time it ran without error and declared victory when it was done.  However, it still horks on .cfm pages only now I get a HTTP 500 Internal Server Error.

    I'm going to uninstall CF again, only this time I'll install the updater right after the CF9 stuff -- and see what happens.

    You shouldn't have to uninstall CF entirely - uninstalling and reinstalling it probably won't make any difference anyway. You can uninstall the web service connector and try reinstalling that, after you've installed the upgrade.

    There are probably some log files you can check out, also - look for the web server configuration log files.
