Question

CF Builder won't connect to Coldfusion 9 through RDS

Greeting

I have download the trial version of CF Builder and have CF 9 Dev Edition on my XP SP3. I also have Dreamweaver CS4 installed. Dreamweaver can talk to CF through RDS however, CF Builder does not. I get a 503 error. Yes, the service is running. Any thoughts?

I am having the same issue on Windows 7. Dreamweaver connects to RDS without error but CFB doesn't.

I brought my laptop home and found I was able to connect to my localhost via RDS. I turned off my proxy/network filter server and it worked perfectly. Are you woking on a standalone pc/laptop or one that is on a network?

I am on a standalone pc, so i don't know how a proxy/network filter would come into play.

Where do I find those settings?

I set CF Builder to auto start and auto stop CF 9. Here is want appears in the Console window during start up:

It seems to fail when it is trying initialize the RDSServlet. Any thoughts? Wrong version of Java?
