CF Enterprise License Question

We had a trial copy of CF7 Enterprise that we installed about a month ago. It appeared to work for us so we purchased a copy last week. I entered the SN and it seemed to be be accepted.

I was notified earlier today that someone received an "exceeded license" error. Even though the Admin page now says "Enterprise", it is acting like it went into developer mode.

Adobe tech support told me that I need to uninstall the trial version and install the version on the CD that came with the purchase. Is that true? If that is done, I assume the existing apps (instances) would have to be reconfigured. Is that true? If so, is there a workaround?

you can always create a .car archive of your current cf install settings
and then import it into the new install, if it comes to that.
the archives are in cf admin under 'packaging & deployment'
