CF mail spool locks up

we recently started having this issue. CF mail locks up everyday and it seems restarting cf services unlocks the mail and they get sent but doesnt solve the problem. Is anyone else having this issue and know what the cause is and  a permanent solution. We can not be restarting services everyday. Our system is on the latest version cf 8.0.1

    What do you mean CF mail lockups everyday? How does it lock up? There's a folder in CF called Mail with a sub-folder called Undelivr. Do you see your mail messages filling up in here?  In your logs folder, what do you see in the Application.log and Exception.log at the time you're sending out your emails.

    It looks up meaning it doesn't get sent. It just stays in the mail spool until cf services is restarted. nothing is logged. We never had this issue until we upgraded to cf 8. I patched it now we are on cf 801 but that doesn't fix the problem
