CF Server Manager Questions

Hello

I think CF Server Manager can be a useful tool for anyone working on multiple CF systems. I have some CF Server Manager questions.

When using Server Manager you get 3 views.

1)      Quick

2)      Details

3)      Errors

Quick View:

What are the Alerts and Warnings? How to configure them to get some meaningful information?

Details View:

What are Running Requests and why no details? What are the Errors? What do the Errors relate to eg CFadminUI > Debugging & Logging > Log Files, CF\runtime\logs\OUT or EVENT log?

Error View:

Why no information though details view says errors exist?

    Carl, the server manager is indeed for viewing multiple systems at once. To see the details of running requests (or errors), one instead should view the Server Monitor (which is available as a link in the Server Manager for each listed server). Does that make sense?

    (I'll add that the errors tab in the Server Manager is instead about errors in comm. between the Svr Mgr and the instances it's talking to.)

    Thanks for that detail Charlie, that make reading the help online somewhat easier to understand. Of course I am trailing Server Manager with CF Standard and that is where the functionality breaks down since this is what happens from the link:

    Server Monitoring > Server Monitor > This feature is not available in this edition of the ColdFusion server.

    Perhaps I should trial Server Manager  with CF Enterprise / multiserver instances and see how that goes.

    To be clear, no, you cannot use the Server Manager to watch a Standard deployment of CF, only other Enterprise deployments.
