Hi

I posted this in the CFML - General Discussion area but I'm not sure if it was the right place to put it, so I've posted it here too.

We have a memory intensive application which runs on CF Standard. We are considering moving to 64-bit but CF 8 Standard only runs as a 32-bit application on a 64-bit OS ( http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=kb403277#_Toc193176416). I think the acknowledged maximum memory CF can address on 32-bit OS is 1.8GB. If Standard still only runs as a 32-bit app does that mean that it still has the memory restrictions?

To expand on this, are there any other pros and cons of running Standard on 64-bit OS?

Thanks

Nathan

Yes, a 32 bit application is still going to have a memory constrant. You'll want to upgrade to ColdFusion 64 bit (don't know if it comes in the Standard flavor) and a 64 bit JVM.
