CF Upgrade 7.0.0 to 7.0.2

We are in the process of upgrading CF MX 7.0.0 to 7.0.2 in Windows 2003 server. Based on the release notes link for 7.0.2( http://www.adobe.com/support/documentation/en/coldfusion/mx702/cf702_releasenotes.html), we understood that 7.0.1 needed to be installed first.

We installed 7.0.1, but ColdFusion didn't work. We were getting 500 Internal Server Error pages. The services were started and running, no major errors in the log files.

We uninstalled 7.0.1 and now the CF sites work, except for the CF administrator.

Any suggestions on this issue? Should we try installin 7.0.1 again or do we install a full version of 7.0.2 from scratch (which we are trying to avoid)?

    Yes, we do have backups. Are you referencing to the CFIDE directory? If so, we replaced it back, but we get The Page cannot be displayed message. We also used the Uninstall steps described at http://www.adobe.com/support/documentation/en/coldfusion/mx701updater/cf701releasenotes02.html#uninstall.
