Using a 32 bit version of java to apply update on 64 bit ColdFusion and vice versa causes this issue.

Rahul_u, I'm getting this same error on ColdFusion 11 running update 9 from the CF Administrator.  I am running a 64 bit version of Java & CF 11.  Any ideas?

Can you please try installing the update manually using Coldfusions built in java.

Uninstalled the update.

Download the update 9 from https://cfdownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/coldfusion/11/hotfix_009.jar

Place the hotfix_009.jar in ColdFusion11\jre\bin

Launch Command prompt as administrator, and navigate to C:\ColdFusion11\jre\bin

Run the command: C:\Coldfusion11\jre\bin> java -jar hotfix_009.jar and follow the online screen instructions to complete the update.
