CFGrid applet fails to upload

The applet "grid" doesn't appear. Firefox displays "Loading Java Applet failed" in the status bar. IE displays "Done" but with errors. Details of the error show something like "Object expected ...." Thanks

When you say 'fails to upload', do you mean you get an error of some description, or does the applet simply fail to appear on the page?

Over the few different platforms I've got CF running on, I've seen some highly variable behaviour with the applet/flash stuff (cfcalendar, cfgrid etc).

On the linux boxes I've got it running on, no probs at all.....serves them up almost immediately. Ditto for the WinXP laptop (albeit a lot more slowly).

On my work platform though (Sun Solaris), they just fail to appear on the page occasionally. Sometimes they eventually appear (after variable periods of time.....up to 30+ seconds later in some cases), but other times they just never appear. However, it seems to be that once the page is reloaded a couple of times and the control appears, it works fine for every other instance during that session, regardless of which page it's on. Very strange!
