Question

CFIMAGE fails on local server / permission needed?

I have seen discussion of this issue but not a solution.
That said, it is so annoying i am sure it has been solved by many... i'm
just not looking in the right places.

I have CF8 running on a local machine, accessing it in my browser via
local LAN url... all good.
But I can't use my CFimage-based scripts locally - anything containing a
write / resize function fails , giving an error about insufficient
permission to write the image.

I can upload the exact same code to a 'real' cf server and everything is
just fine - no doubt a permissions issue on my local server.

This is a windows Vista computer running the 'standalone' cf8 server on
the same hard drive where the images are located (the entire site,
including original and destination image folders, is inside the local
'wwwroot' for CF).

I'd love to find a fix, if anybody cares to share. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the response - yes, I have tried the hotfix to no avail.
As for absolute error message, I will try to recreate it and post here.

What is the exact error message from the stack trace? It may be a legitimate permissions problem, but you might also check your updates. There was a patch a few months ago that solved several image related bugs.
