Question

CFMX7, Apache and MySQL

Hi everyone,

At the moment I am simply using CFMX7 and the built in server it has for local development. However, I am interested in using Apache as my web server and MySQL as the database system.

I have had a look at getting these but I'm not sure what versions I need - or even where to get them from! Let alone the fact of configuring them.

Would anybody be able to advise what I need, how to get it and if possible what setup is needed? I'm using Windows XP.

Any hints, tips or tutorials you can point me to on this would be greatly appreciated. Bear in mind I'm totally new to this idea of bringing these three together and never used Apache or MySQL before, I was told they'd be the best choices (for free that is).

Many thanks in advance!

Mikey.
