CFMX7 Developer Edition - Installation Problem

Hope someone can give guidance on the following ...

I've just installed MX7 Developer Edition. The installation worked successfully and then continued into CF Admin. The Migration and Export Settings (from MX6) worked OK, but it just hangs whilst attempting to Import Settings into MX7. Eventually the page times out. If I try to rerun CF Admin, it just repeats the Import Settings and times out again. FYI, I used defaults for the installation process, so I do not have anything wierd.

Can anyone advise what is causing this and how I may be able to get around it ? Can I skip the Import Settings ? If so, how (and what impact will it have) ?

Yes you can, there is an XML setting you can change that tells CF not to
do the import. I don't know where and what setting off the top of my
head though. The impact is that you CFMX6 settings will not be
imported. You will have to manually migrate your DSNs, mappings, ect.

What was the solution? I am running six now and researching any potential issues before installing 7. Btw, sounds like you installed 7 over 6? Any issue with keeping both (i presume) directories?
please advise.
