CFMX8 Alerting with Multiple Instances

Question

We have a coldfusion enterprise server configured with
multiple instances. In the process of trying to track down an issue
I enabled email alerts for an unresponsive server. However the
emails make no mention to the instance on which the alert came
from. Does anyone know how or if the server instance can be
included in the email?

I can't directly answer your question, but I do have a recommendation.

Check into Fusion Reactor. It will send you emails if an instance becomes unavailable and in that email, it includes information about the instance based on how you've configured the default name for a given instance of Fusion Reactor.

It also does lots of other very very cool stuff.
