cfpdf watermark and changing position

I am still new to coldfusion and was wondering if there is a way for coldfusion to find out if a pdf is landscape or portrait and then change the position of a watermark when using the cfpdf tag and the addWatermark action. If anyone would know how to go about doing this or could point me to some literature that might help me out it would be very much apprieciated.
