CFR files and Coldfusion Builder 2018

Hello, I just upgraded a server to use Coldfusion Builder 2018 to edit CFR files. Issue I'm seeing is it can't figure out the coding and opens them I think as raw data (see pic). What do I need to do in order to see them correctly. The old version of Coldfusion Builder was for CF10. So it's pretty old.

Thanks

    Correct answer taunnt

I thought it did, but looking at our old server the program I used was CF Report Builder. Hehe so I guess I was incorrect with this. Don't know why both can't do it. Arg!

This is probably a really dumb question, but did CF Builder ever let you edit CFR files? I thought you needed the separate Report Builder tool for that.

It's because cf builder was an ide (created in cf8--and last updated with cf2018) for editing cfml files (which are text), while the cf report builder was something from before the turn of the century (last updated with CF 7--also deprecated and unsupported since cf2016 ) for creating report UIs, which PRODUCED cfr files that are binary.

(And for the sake of completeness, the new incarnation of cf builder [from late 2022] for vscode also cannot help with cfr files. 🙂
