Question

cfsharepoint and NTLM

I was jsut wondering if anyone knew why the cfsharepoint tag in ColdfFusion 9 doesn't support NTLM authentication and if adobe has any plans to make an update that allows for NTLM authenitcation with the cfsharepoint tag?  Also, if anyone has any literature or ideas on how I can connect to a SharePoint Server using NTLM authentication and am able to retrieve lists and views that would be great.

Thanks

Having a CFSHAREPOINT tag is a great sales point.

    Too bad it sucks.

You might want to go vote for this: http://cfbugs.adobe.com/cfbugreport/flexbugui/cfbugtracker/main.html#bugId=72751

I think <cfsharepoint> is borderline useless (other than for experimentation) without proper authentication support.

Thanks for the link Adam.  I have logged my complaint as well, probably nothing is going to happen from it.  So, I spoke with my dev team and we have decided to write a .NET webservices on the coldfusion server that comunicates to the Sharepoint server through NTLM authentication and return the lists and views for coldfusion to parse on the front end.

It's interesting & telling that your appraoch is what people used to have to do to access SharePoint... and now that CF has <cfsharepoint>... nothing has changed.

    :-(
