Question

Coldfusion 10 and cfm gzip compression

Hello, I purchased and installed Coldfusion 10 enterprise on a webserver that previously had CF 9.

.cfm compression was working fine on CF 9 but after I uninstalled CF 9 and installed CF 10 the compression

stopped working.

The metabase.xml configuration is intact and the server runs windows server 2003 64 bit - IIS 6 - Coldfusion Enterprise 10 64 bits.

What am I missing?

Yes, we have the same problem on ColdFusion 10 Standard.  Just a guess, maybe it has something to do with Tomcat.  Any ideas?

Any chance you are running a CFX_ exntension?

I just upgraded and found that i cant load any of my .dll extensions specifically cfx_gzip.dll

Looking for another option than having vendor recompile.

This is a 64 bit issue not a version issue i believe...

Anybody with this problem?   It's king of frustration to pay for the Coldfusion 10 enterprise

and to run into these issues.

Could it be something left back in the registry by CF 9?  IIS 6 configuration.

I use whatsmyip.org to check if the files are getting gzipped correctly and it

    says that they aren't.

Here is a link to the file I am using to check if the compression works.

Is there any configuration in the Coldfusion 10 Administration that could be

    blocking compression.

How smart would it be to use a servlet filter if this doesn't get solved?

    Thanks for the help
