Is anyone running ColdFusion 2016 on RHEL 8. Our admin would like to update from RHEL 7. The only system requirements I can find for CF on Adobe's site is two years old.

The sys requirements aren't always kept up to date, with updates that are done.  But I can say that CF2018 (not 2016) WAS updated to support RHEL 8. This is listed in the technote for CF2018 update 5, at https://helpx.adobe.com/coldfusion/kb/coldfusion-2018-update-5.html. They don't mention it in the corresponding update of CF2016 from that same time frame, so it may be that they did not and will not add that support to CF2016. That happens sometimes (they only update the latest CF version).

If that's not an answer you are satisfied to hear, you should reach out to Adobe to see what they may say, at cfinstal@adobe.com. (They don't tend to answer here.)

Thanks so much for your response. I sent an email to the address you provided and they confirmed RHEL 8 is not supported:

CF2016 is not yet tested and verified with RHEL 8. Please refer the support matrix below:
