Coldfusion 2021 update 1 administrator missing

After updating to update 1, get message the administrator module not installed and to use cfpm.bat to install it.  The server is behind a firewall and isolated from the internet, so cfpm cannot get back to adobe bundlesdependency.json to get it.  I have tried uninstalling the patch and still get message administrator module not installed.  Attempt to install it with cfpm and it says the local bundle is not compatible.

Also, cannot start the CF service, can only bring it up using cfstart.bat which complains it cannot validate licensing.

If  there is  no internet connection where ColdFusion server is running, you can apply the update as follows-

On a machine where internet is there download the following two files and move them to the machine where ColdFusion is running without internet.

    https://cfdownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/coldfusion/temp/cf2021repo/cf2021-update1-325996-repo.zip

    https://cfdownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/coldfusion/2021/updates/hotfix-001-325996.jar

Unzip cf2021-update1-325996-repo.zip. It unzips to a directory named repo. Copy the all contents under this folder to <ColdFusionHome>\bundles directory.

Just for cross-checking, make sure that copy operation is replacing the bundlesdependency.json.

Now if you run the hotfix-001-325996.jar hotfix installer, it will automatically update the packages that have updates.

Now you can update the packages from module client(bin/cfpm.bat) too.

i just upgraded from 11 to 12 on CF2021 and had this same issue. Except i must have had the files? My admin would not load and i got the same message. What scared me was some of my application pages were loading and others were giving error. I did run the cfpm.bat and reinstalled the administrator and now i have admin and those errors seems to not be happening anymore. If anyone can chime in, espeically for others in the future that may see this one what may have happened it woudl be great. I get scared with these updates. People say its not a big deal but i am mandated to do one at a time now and let that update run for a few weeks and then do the next. I am fine with that it ust seems weird i updated from update 1 to 11 with no issues now i go to 12 and it breaks my app and admin is gone? Kind of sloppy if you ask me.

I had the same problem. There are 4 files missing that need to be provided to you.  Then you can run the cfpm install administrator command and it will work.  You will need to contact the CFinstall folks at the email provided in the previous reply.

How long does it usually take the cfinstal folks to respond?  I'm having the same issue and emailed them earlier today.
