My motherboard whent out on my computer this week so I purchase a new computer and now I'm looking to finish something I'm working on in Coldfusion 8 but when I try to find the developer edition for it on the site I don't see it. My question is can I install CF9 and still us the same code I did in CF8 to finish what I'm working on and then just make the jump in to the new CF9 features. Or if not does anyone know where I can download the developer edition of CF8?

If you can take advantage of CF9, do. But if you need to stick with CF8 for compatibility reasons, try the downloads page again. Another recent thread mentioned the CF8 links were probably removed by accident. They are back now.

Thanks for the replies, I have followed the link that you posted but still do not see it there. But as long as I know that it is something that will be fixed I can wait.

Weird.  I could have sworn I there were CF8 links on one of the download pages yesterday. Unfortunately, I did not save the "Thanks for downloading ColdFusion" email sent.  At least then I would know if I was only dreaming it was CF8 not 9 ;-)

Anyway, keep an eye on this thread. There may be updates:

Yes you should be able to use ColdFusion 9.
