ColdFusion 8 - Newer Java Version?

Is there a good Java version choice for current ColdFusion 8 environments?

Upgraded ColdFusion from 7 to 8 (standard edition) on Windows 2003 server using Coldfusion installer provided Java version 1.6_04.

Web server is now experiencing the Java (jrun.exe) memory use botteneck (http://www.carehart.org/blog/client/index.cfm/2009/8/10/cf8_migration_resources) causing intemittent ColdFusion request timeouts.

Java's only purpose on this web server is to support ColdFusion applications.

Adobe ColdFuson 8 system support matrix (http://www.adobe.com/products/coldfusion/coldfusion8/systemreqs/) still refers to the original Java version 1.6_04. The newest version on Oracle site http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javasebusiness/downloads/java-archive-downloads-javase6-419409.html is 6u29 (1.6_29?).   There was not a clear answer, but a number of discussion posting refer to using newer versions to correct performance/feature problems.

The memory issues were fixed around update 11 or so I think. But I personally see no reason not to go up to the highest version.
