Question

ColdFusion 9 in the Cloud (AWS)?

Does anyone have any updates on where ColdFusion 9 in the Cloud stands?

In October of 2009, (see link) a private beta program was announced, but I haven't seen anything since.

I'm already running CF on AWS EC2 instances, but would love to know what Adobe is planning to do with with AWS down the road - it will very likely influence future implementations.

Thanks,

DR

    I'm also curious about CF9 and EC2.

This is a good question! I'm als trying to get some more information.

I tried to participate on the prerelease program for CF Cloud (http://www.adobe.com/go/cf_cloud), but it seems that I do not have enough reputation (or something else is missing).

David, do you use your own AMI on EC2 or a precompiled one? I try to get some more information on using CF9 + LCDS in the cloud.

    Frank,

I used a preconfigured Windows 2003 Server AMI and then just installed CF8 on it. I'd like to add some CF9 instances, but really want to know what Adobe is planning. I'd actually like to see some sort of usage-based pricing model, but I kind of doubt that will happen.
