Mike, I suspect no one is replying because no one can offer the answer you seek, as to why that error is happening.

But as for the bad workspace, since you refer to it with a folder having that name, are you confirming that you have done what the blog post (you link to) suggests, of creating a new one, and using the -clean argument on launching CFB from the command line? Did that work, did that create a new workspace? And that that new one work?

You opened a new thread in the main CF forum today (https://forums.adobe.com/message/10278960), asking for attention to this post (though you didn't offer a link, so I had to dig around to find it). You say there that this issue is "causing the user frustration."

What is causing frustration? That they can't solve this problem with the old workspace? Or that they can't use CFB because, even on trying to use the -clean option, CFB will not open? I can see the latter causing enough frustration to press the point here (and I suppose in the other forum).

But if the frustration is in not knowing why you had that error in the past (with the huge stack trace you shared here), and why you can no longer use that old workspace, that may be a much harder problem to solve. We can't do it using just that error message, as it shows nothing clear "to be done".

BTW, I will add that I have that same folder and file in my workspace. It's normal and nothing to worry about. (Not sure why you would not have it, but I am addressing your concern that they DO have it.)

So help us understand what the "issue" is, and hopefully someone can offer more, if needed.
