Coldfusion service doesn't start after update 12

Hi,

I am running CF10 on Windows 2008 R2 server.

Today, I applied update hotfix 12 to my Coldfusion10 server installation and now Coldfusion 10 Application Server does not start anymore.

After install I ran Web server configuration as recommended. Now, when I start it from server manager concole I get an error Windows could not start the Coldfusion 10 Application Server...

When I start Coldfusion Administrator I get page with:

Service Temporary Unavailable!

The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.

Jakarta/ISAPI/isapi_redirector/1.2.32 ()

I downloaded hotfix directly from this page http://helpx.adobe.com/coldfusion/kb/coldfusion-10-update-12.html after running Update from Administrator and download failed few times.

I restarted the server box but, it did not help.

Any ideas?

Did you reinstall everything or just the patch? The SEVERE messages are something to do with the JVM that CF10 ships with. We got rid of those by installing JVM 7 from Oracle and pointing the jvm.config at it. CF 10 installs are so flakey; so many issues with installs and connectors

I reinstalled CF10 and updated right after with all updates alone with 12. I also noticed that CF10 somewhat flakey when it comes to install of updates from the cf administrator. All updates I installed were from prompt line, otherwise all the updates I was trying to download from the administrator failed.

Hi

Yes you have downloaded the hotfix from the correct link http://helpx.adobe.com/coldfusion/kb/coldfusion-10-update-12.html

The size of the .jar should be 19,865 KB. The CF 10 version after update 12 will be 10,0,12,286680.

Launch the Web Server Configuration tool (C:\ColdFusion10\cfusion\runtime\bin) as Run as Admin and then create the connector.

The size is correct, installation I did as per instructions and it completed just fine. And, I did run Web server configuration tool, removed connections and re-added them. Nothing works.

What happens when you uninstall the update 12? Can you recreate the connector without any issues?
