ColdFusion Spreadsheet functions (POIutility?)

Hello, all,

I understand that ColdFusion spreadsheet functions are based upon Ben Nadel's POIutility.cfc.  I was just asked a question that I don't know how to answer and thought I'd bring it here for scrutiny.

"Do CF spreadsheet functions rely, at all, on .Net?"

I know that CF is a wrapper for Java (Tomcat).  But that's the deepest my knowledge goes.  Does .Net come into play for spreadsheet functions in CF?

No, there is no dependence on .NET for CFSPREADSHEET. It depends on either the POI library or OpenOffice, both of which are entirely Java.

Thank you, Dave.  I kind of thought that might be the case, but just wanted to be sure before I approach the boss with it.
