Connecting to sql-server 2005

Hello I am trying to make a form that will connect to

our SQL Server 2005.   I am wondering how do you call up records in livecycle, is there some code for that??  in the sql table that I am linked to there is 686 records and I am wondering how do you call up different records?  Also when you add records through a form I want the users to hit a submit button and have it go to the Table on our SQL-server database.  How exaclty do you do that??
