Create event in Outlook

I'm attempting to use the cfexchange tag to create an event in Outlook Calendar. However, I was unable to gain access to the outlook server; is this a security issue with the outlook server itself? Can I still use cfexchange if the email account is a shared account, such as project@xxx.com, rather than a personal account?
