create letter

Hi, I am creating a sytem for our staff members to add our clients to so that the clients can see how there cases are progressing.

We i need to do is once we have inserted the details into the database i want a page to open up seperate page which we will be able to print out a letter. I have tried with the HTLM version but it prints the page title and how many pages are on this.

If possible it would be good if we could create some sort of word document.

does anyone know how to do this

    If you want to print the letter without allowing subsequent editing, there's always the good old cfdocument tag.
