Does CF8 not use neo-query.xml? I copied a neo-query.xml from a CF7 server to 8 and it's not picking it up.

    Hi,

    You can migrate your datasources form CF7 to CF8 using the migration wizard.

    I don't think that is an option in a J2EE/ear file install, is it?

    Hi Jochem.

    I did beta test CF8 (and made a few posts, too). And through the betas I was able to simply copy neo-query.xml. Worked like a champ.

    Yes.

    You -really- should join beta's and test. That is when it makes a
    difference.

    I'm installing new instances on an existing JRun server. No automagic upgrade for me.

    CF8 doesn't store the datasources in neo-query.xml. There is another file called neo-datasource.xml.

    Our datasources were automatically copied from CF7 to CF8 when we did the upgrade (on a Windows system).

    Wonderful. Anyone write a converter? If I create a .car file (if I can actually manage to get it to work) and import it, would that work?

    I -really- don't want to move 150 datasources by hand.

    The format has changed between 7 and 8.

    I can see this file in /opt/coldfusion8/lib directory

    $ ls /opt/coldfusion8/lib/neo-query.xml
    /opt/coldfusion8/lib/neo-query.xml
