Email alert not working in alert configuration - coldfusion server monitor

Email alert not working in alert configuration - coldfusion server monitor..please support. i have given the correct user name & password for email set up in coldfusion admin for error mail...on that same user name & password only given in Email alert in alert configuration - server monitor...it not sending any mail..please help me...what can i do for this
